The inventory of homes for sale is still scarce. Interest rates have increased substantially this year doubling from approx 3%-6% and may even go higher before the end of the year. Home prices in many areas have skyrocketed, but appear to be leveling off in the second half of 2022.
A word of caution to the inexperienced buyer: The importance of hiring a good, qualified home inspector (and professionals with expertise in discovered problematic areas) can not be stressed enough. A perceived “good deal” could turn into a bad investment and a disappointing experience for the first time homebuyer or investor.
